My housecoat design is inspired by two inherited garments, a silk dressing gown from my Grandma and a 70's denim coat of my Mum's. Taking the best parts of each piece I created a perfect coverup for lounging around the house, garden or even by the pool whilst still being smart enough to leave the house in.
The housecoat is also one of my favourite designs as the rectangular pieces that make it leave very little to no offcuts.
This coat is made from light cotton in pale green, the fabric is handprinted in blue with a trio of sharks, a hammerhead shark, a blue shark and a spotted eagle ray. Included is a contrast navy belt approx 1.8m long.
