My housecoat design is inspired by two inherited garments, a silk dressing gown from my Grandma and a 70's denim coat of my Mum's. Taking the best parts of each piece I created a perfect coverup for lounging around the house, garden or even by the pool whilst still being smart enough to leave the house in. Included is a matching belt approx 1.8m long.
The housecoat is also one of my favourite designs as the rectangular pieces that make it leave very little to no offcuts.
This coat is made from second-hand cotton in a pale peach colour, the fabric is handprinted with Yellow-tailed Black Cockatoos. I was lucky to see these magnificent birds on a trip to Tasmania.
